Rich Bellis's son Jon worked there, providing inside access
Great party downtown in a cowboy honky-tonk
Andy Tarnow broke his wrist dancing, ended up in emergency room
Season 29 at First Tennessee Park
After being strung out for too many months by a big league team, we pulled the plug on that one and signed on with the minor league Nashville Sounds. JJ Gottsch pulled the strings in ten minutes. No Bats legend Rich Bellis informed us his son Jon works there, which was good because we had a man on the inside but perplexing in that all of a sudden we were confronted with an old Bellis and a young Bellis. It was like the same guy a generation apart, side-by-side.
Music City is always fun, and we had great party downtown in a cowboy honky-tonk. Andy Tarnow broke his wrist dancing and ended up in a hospital emergency room getting it set. Jake Burns was absent, stuck at work. His employer, the Washington Nationals, won the World Series.
